Higurashi Yokoma Episode 14 [Story]

"Well see ya."  Mion said as she turned to leave, her hand in the air giving a wave.  It was not very often that it was just Keiichi and her walking home alone together, well as far as the waterwheel atleast.  On this particular day, Rena had went home to do errands early.
"Whats the date?" Keiichi called after her.  He was not sure if she had heard him since she did not answered right away.


"Da-da-date?" The green hair girl muttered as she came to an abrupt stop but dare not turn to face her friend.  Mion's face was blushing red as the thought of dating had brought weird images to her mind.  She was so wrapped in thought in attempt to make some sense in what was happening, that she had not noticed that Keiichi had caught up to her and had been calling her name for sometime.

When they came face to face, Mion quickly came to.  "No date! Who said it was a date?  No way its a date. A joke right?  Right?!"  She jumped to the offensive and started yelling at him.
Keiichi ducked his head under his arms, as he thought that there will be more then just verbal abuse about to come his way.  "Just that last weekend you were gone till like... Tuesday.  Just was a surprise, really."  He tried to explain what he meant by asking what date he might be seeing her again.

There was a long awkward silence, Keiichi opened his eyes and saw a red face Mion.  "Idiot!"  She called him, followed by sticking her tongue at him before running away.  Keiichi still did not understand why she was so mad for, maybe he will never understand her at times.
